MEET THE TEAM
As the founder and executive director of HOUSTON RESPONDS, Tommy brings his expertise as a strategic growth, marketing, and fundraising consultant to help unite and empower churches to mobilize long-term recovery in their various communities across the Greater Houston area.
A respected spiritual leader, humanitarian, and community activist, Pastor Clark brings twenty years of experience to his role as an area developer for HOUSTON RESPONDS. He is focused on engaging and uniting congregations for crisis response especially in under-resourced communities on the. east side of Houston.
Director of Coalitions
A pastor and para-church leader, Jeff brings expertise in organizational development, ministry partnerships and team-building to the task of fulfilling the HOUSTON RESPONDS vision of 20 coalitions and 1,000 churches engaged in disaster and crisis response.
Colleen's experience includes working over 30 years in financial management, strategic finance, public accounting and leadership. She is a CPA, has served as CFO for multiple organizations, and brings several years of recovery experience with Bayou City Relief. Colleen is using her expertise to coordinate grant funding for HOUSTON RESPONDS coalitions.
Jennifer relocated here from Dallas with over four years of nonprofit work experience connecting churches with resources related to social needs. She also has four years of quality assurance experience and ten years of management skills. She has a heart for others and is excited to be a part of HOUSTON RESPONDS and crisis response.
Duane has extensive experience developing and leading engaging communication strategies for faith-based and corporate organizations. He is helping raise awareness and support as HOUSTON RESPONDS guides the long-term recovery of Harvey and tackles other disasters going forward.
Readiness Program Coordinator
Thomasina brings more than 15 years of experience in personal, corporate, and non-profit training as well as leadership development. Her strength comes through her unique ability to creating an interactive and enjoyable environment that supports learning. She is putting this to use by helping HOUSTON RESPONDS coalitions promote disaster readiness within their congregations through the Willing & Able program.
As construction advisor, Charley’s experience includes 26 years in para-church ministry. He served as the state manager for Alabama with Promise Keepers, associate staff with Campus Crusade for Christ – Military Ministry, and for the past 12 years as founder and executive director of Pathfinder Mission, a faith-based 501c3 Disaster Response Ministry.
Leahjean brings her 25 year + expertise in program design and implementation in faith-based, non-profit, corporate, and educational entities. In her role with HOUSTON RESPONDS, she is utilizing her expertise in cultural diversity and inclusion, multigenerational staff management, volunteer coordination, and resource management to assist with establishing and growing local coalitions.
Sara comes from an extensive background in communications, marketing, and utilizing best social media strategies. She has experience in both corporate and non-profit work, as well as online consulting. Sara is thrilled to be a part of the HOUSTON RESPONDS team and assisting the coalitions on best practices.
Topper has worked in disaster response throughout the U.S. for over 14 years as a leader with disaster organizations such as Eight Days of Hope utilizing his skills in resource mobilization, operational efficiency, project management, communications, and marketing strategy. Topper is now with the HOUSTON RESPONDS team as a grant advisor.
