A Disaster Response Coalition Supported by Houston Responds
Southwest Louisiana Churches Need Our Help!
Pastors in Southwest Louisiana are uniting to help their communities recover from the devastation caused by Hurricanes Laura and Delta. With the support of Houston Responds, they have formed SWLA Responds to coordinate and collaborate for disaster relief, but they cannot do it alone. Church leaders and their congregations need our support now more than ever. In addition to donations of money and supplies, there is an urgent need for volunteer to help with relief efforts.
You can help make a difference by sending a team from your church to Southwest Louisiana. There are many ways to serve families in need.
Join us for our next volunteer event starting February 6th!
We are asking churches and volunteers to help us "Get Sweet on SWLA"!
This is an opportunity for anyone who wants to show some love to the Lake Charles area by serving its most vulnerable citizens after Hurricanes Laura and Delta. Grab a group of friends and sign up for this opportunity to help your community in a tangible way.
Disclaimer: Due to COVID-19, each of these organizations may have specific guidelines and restrictions to help keep you and others safe. Please be sure to ask what policies they have in place before serving (e.g. requirement of face masks and social distancing).
